Postdoc-Stelle (E13 TV-G-U)
zum Thema "Veränderung des Cystein-Stoffwechsels bei vaskulärer Alterung und Regeneration".
The position is available from 01.02.2021 for a period of 2 years with the possibility of prolongation. The Post-doc will join a project funded by the German Research Foundation (Emmy Noether Programme), which deals with the consequences of the post-translational modification S-sulfhydration in vascular ageing and regeneration (Circulation 2019, doi: 10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.118.034757, Circulation 2021, doi: 10.1161/CIRCULATIONAHA.120.051877
)
.
Die Position erfordert Folgendes:
- Participation in a research project focusing on understanding the sulfur metabolic flux of cysteine in endothelial cells.
- The successful candidate will use mass spectrometry to investigate protein modifications linked to cysteine-derived sulfur and their effects on redox balance during vascular aging.
- Collection of experimental data, analysis and documentation of results and preparation of material for publication.
Wir bieten an:
- A thematic high-level project in an internationally recognized group, which is part of the Vascular Research Center Frankfurt.
- Rooms, housed in a new research building, with modern facilities and analysis possibilities from integrative physiology to mass spectroscopy.
- National and international networking – The Institute is part of the DFG Cluster of Excellence “CardioPulmonary Institute” and the German Center for Cardiovascular Research (DZHK).
Voraussetzungen:
- A completed, very good PhD in biology, biotechnology, molecular medicine or an equivalent discipline.
- Experience in studying protein modifications with mass spectrometry is essential and experience in bioinformatics is advantageous.
- While German is not necessary, excellent written and spoken English is required.
